The app let's users create any bi-directional traceability matrix for a specified Jira version. Select the
version, select which project and suite/run the test cases or test executions are stored and create the
matrix. Easily spot requirements without tests, and the other way around.
Walkthrough
After installation, head to the 'Manage your apps' section and click the configure button (admin
required)
Fill in the the testrail integration details and check the connection works, then save
Go to any Jira project and find the Traceability Matrix app under the 'Apps' section of the project menu
Select which Jira project version you want to use and where in TestRail the test cases or executions are
stored, you can choose between mapping issues to test cases or test executions
Click the 'Generate TM' button and wait for the matrix to be created
In case issues cannot be mapped to tests, these will be marked in a separate table to be reviewed
Similarly, in case tests cannot be mapped to an issue, these will be marked in a separate table to be
reviewed
