AI Test Case Generator

The app simplifies the creation of test cases for Jira users, allowing them to generate multiple scenarios with just a click. It serves as an extra QA companion, helping testers streamline their workflow and enhance efficiency. This tool is designed to make the lives of testers easier by automating the generation of diverse test cases based on Jira ticket descriptions. Users can then customize these test cases as needed. The app also offers an integration with TestRail for further management. This tool is aimed at making test case generation more straightforward and efficient.



Walkthrough

  1. Get started straight away. After installation, head to any Jira ticket and click the Testcases button. No setup required!
  2. On the Testcases section, click Generate Testcase. This will generate a testcase, using the issue description as input
  3. Once the Testcase is created, it is visible in the Testcase section. You can now edit, add a result, delete and lock the testcase. Double click on the text to start editing
  4. Want to give it another try? Click the Regenerate Testcase button above the table
TestRail integration (Optional)
  1. To set up the TestRail integration, go to the 'Manage your apps' section and click the configure button for AI Testcase Generator (requires admin permission)
  2. You can now enable the TestRail integration by clicking the checkbox and filling in the TestRail URL and authentication. We advise using a non-personal (service account) for the integration
  3. After saving the config, you can now configure per Jira project which TestRail project and TestRail Suite testcases should be created. To do this, open the integrations page in the 'Your apps' dropdown in the top navigation bar in Jira
  4. Save the integration and go to a Jira ticket of that project. Generate a testcase and the button to send your testcase to TestRail will be visible
  5. With the click of a button, you can now send your testcase to TestRail and it will appear in a dedicated 'AI Generated' section in the specified location
